JON L. AUSTEN

Jon graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1983.  While at Ohio State, Jon walked on and earned a varsity letter in Cross Country.  He graduated from Wake Forest University law school in 1986 and worked as a litigator for most of his career.  

 

Jon has tried cases in state and federal courts in South Carolina and has significant experience in cases involving torts, contracts, insurance, and employment law.  His practice is centered around alternative dispute resolution.  He works as a mediator, arbitrator, and summary jury trial judge.  He has mediated over 3000 cases.  He is married to Lea Austen and lives in Charleston.
